PM’s are for issues, technical and personal, but not for coin questions (refer to number 5 on this list). I would grade it MS64. I can't get past the marks on the cheeks. I just wish PCGS would be this gracious with the coins I send them.

I agree with your grade. Those marks prevent it making MS 65 according to ACG. We don't want them to be too gracious. That's the problem with SGS! :mrgreen:

Thanks for this grading test :geek: I just found out that I have a few under graded coins of that type. :mrgreen:
Most likely I have a few over graded as well. :o

I am new to this forum and a bit late but the grade is OK compared to the PCGS and NGC slabbed Morgans I have. Could be MS 64 but not lower, it is always hard to say it on the picture.

It is still a nice coin, although overgraded.

This thread should serve as a great general guide for grading, as should the page on the main website, which, event today, is still essential.
