Not listed on Coneca
These are the errors I have not found on Coneca or other sites.
18 crack from planket sw to under R in America
23 serious cracked die from NW to SW along Lincoln's back
40s die crack from the 9 to the NW planket
44D large chip in head under we
50 date 95 connected
53 good die clash. Lincoln clearly visable on rev.
55 crack die from eye west
56 die crack from eye nw then west into hair
57 crack from eye brow west into hair
67 something going on north and north west of head?
Are clips-5% and less, filled in numbers and letters, off kilter numbers, missing numbers, missing letters looked for. I do have many of those also. Can not find anything on those? Again I may not be reading the abb. corectly?

Re: Not listed on Coneca
Since the US Mint strikes billions of these coins errors like die cracks, filled numbers, letters and design features and slight clips usually don't command much a premium because they are so numerous.
I have searched thousands of original Lincoln Cent rolls and find many of these type coins. It's best to look for Double Dies, Wide AM, and any other established or reported error or variety because they will command a premium.

I received my first lincoln log today. Are these common to be a little off struck? The rim is wider at the bottom than at the top.

I'm not sure, but they need to be a little more than 5% to attract attention or premium.

Yes. In the "Non mint error" section of the main website, you'll see a similar coin.
It's a very helpful article, that I refer to on a regular basis, and it's fully illustrated.
Take my word for it, it's worth a visit.

Re: Not listed on Coneca
the 'cataloged' coins you will find at CONECA are "die varieties". cracks, chips, plugging, clashes,...so on, are considered as simple 'die deterioration', ... that occurs over a dies striking life span as it "breaks down" on a metallurgical basis. i often see these listed as "rare", "scarce", "highly sought after".......& on. these are "mint errors", or better yet, "minting errors". not really an "error" per say, as this occurs with all dies as they wear/break down, in my opinion. but, some do command larger premiums, like bigger 'non-retained' die breaks, a.k.a. "cuds".zakota wrote:These are the errors I have not found on Coneca or other sites.
