Detector Models for Urban Environment

#1 Unread post by sfwendy » Sun Mar 14, 2010 2:19 am

Hello, my old Garrett bit the dust a few years back and I haven't replaced it. I just started collecting coins last year, but now I've used some old San Francisco police blotters from historical records to locate early bordellos and cross referenced that with vintage San Francisco maps. hee hee

I need some help choosing a solid, mid-grade detector that can stand an occasional salt water dip. The cen-tech reviews I've already read here have convinced me to try pinpointing on the cheap.

Thanks for all the solid advice I've already found.

Welcome to the forum! What sort of detecting are you going to be doing? Are you sticking to beaches or are you looking for something to do both beaches and regular areas? Also what sort of targets are you looking for.
