HELLO! Here's today's find- The Merrick Mint. They are not technically a TPG, and do not accept public submissions, but they sell unauthorized colorized coins in slabs. You may visit them on the web here:

I hope this helps.

I agree. Colorizing coins is awful. I suppose it could be worse. An excellent example was about 4 years ago. I was at a local coin show, and I saw a 1907 high relief St. Gaudens double eagle colorized in red, white & blue, it was hideous, and had the hefty price tag of $12,000. I came back this year to that show, and the same dealer had that same coin for sale, only this time it was $2,000. He'll be lucky if he gets that price in my opinion. That shows you how "attractive" and "desirable" they are. I'm glad I could help with adding another company. Please feel free to add it at your convenience. Colorizing coins should be illegal in my opinion. It is defacing them.

Now that's sad. I would have bought it for $2,000 and used a solvent to carefully remove the paint and resell it as a cleaned coin. I would make a few thousand. If you ever run into something like this again, buy it, send it to me and I will fix it and sell it. We could split the profits. :P

Yeah, I was going to buy it and do something similar, but I only had $750 spending money with me at the time. And what sort of a split? Am I going to lose money on the deal? 80% for you, 20% for me? LOL. I do keep an eye out for good deals like that though. It was so ugly. How can that be seen as desirable?

Of course not, you would get 60% for finding the deal and putting up the money, and I would get 40% for cleaning and handling the sale.
