1956 D over shadow D Wheat

I hope I'm correct this time. It sure looks like a shadow of a D under the D.

I do see the "shadow" in the first image and it could be a remnant of the D that was polished off?

I see it too, but I can't match any of the ones on coppercoins because of the damage, I'm not sure you'll identify it unless you go to coppercoins and check the secondary markers.

You might have something here and matching the die markers will help a lot. I agree with Pahl
