When a mint mark gets filled with debris on the die, and then falls onto the coin, this leaves an incuse mark on the coin. And, since the mint mark is no longer plugged, it should appear on the coin in its normal location. You cannot have a dropped mint mark from a Philadelphia coin because it didn't have one to start with.

It looks like a 'D', but when magnified, appears to be raised and more like toning or zinc rot. Basically, a spot.

I agree with Mark there's something on the coin but this is not a dropped or fallen letter.

Nice image but I agree also.
And it doesn't quite match the shape of the D in God.
