2017 America bullion

#1 Unread post by mhonzell »

I'm impressed with the 2017 America silver bullion from the US Mint. It is not often I purchase anything modern as I think they mostly lack any artistic value.
Look at how two different types of cameo effect are used to "color" the bald eagle and the stars on Miss Liberty.

I like when they prepare the dies for contrast and satin appearance. It is better than the previous versions.

I couldn't agree more.
The detail on the eagle is very lifelike and Miss Liberty is so well done.
Congratulations to the mint and engraver on this one!!!!

I looked over an entire set at the coin show Sunday, the coins are beautiful. Only thing for me is Liberty's neck is to skinny, but otherwise no cons for me.
