Mated pair (full brokage).

#1 Unread post by budhdman65 » Wed Aug 23, 2017 4:04 am

I have what I believe to be an 2011 quarter with a struck Lincoln cent mated obverse to obverse at the mint. I am not sure how to get it authenticated or find value. I hope the pictures are good enough to get some advice. The visual of the penny can be seen with a magnifying glass. The reverse of the quarter is normal

This is damaged, looks like someone glued something to this quarter but it's not a mint error or brokage.

I'm with Daniel. Hard to really see anything with the clarity of these images.
More than likely a cent stuck to the quarter with soda in the penny tray.
Many reasons this couldn't happen. One is the quarter would NOT fit into the cent collar die to be struck.
