Fake or Real 1998 D Penny ?

#1 Unread post by Larry D »

I have a 1998 D penny that looks like it is made of Aluminum and it is about .050 thousands larger than a regular penny. It weigh's a little over two grams. The outside rim is kind of horseshoed. I believe it is a fake but I cant figure it out. Could someone give me there opinion. Thanks so much.

Someone artificially removed the copper plating and it looks like heat or chemical could have been used.
