I hold a number of contests, but rarely enter any. Two weeks ago, I arbitrarily entered the Coin Week #135 Give Away contest from a Facebook link and won.
Well, it's an ounce of silver.
What do you think? (NGC 1st Day of Issue - MS69)
(For the life of me, I can't figure out why a new holder is all scratched up.)

1. Post a front and back image of your coin with a specific question about what you’re seeing or asking about and one coin per topic.
2. Please remove coin from the holder unless it’s US or an official mint case or unless it is graded by a grading service.
3. Images should be taken by a camera or cell phone camera, we ask that members don’t use images through a microscope screen.
4. Always start your own topic, please don’t ask about your coin or post your coin in someone else’s coin topic.
5. Do not send private messages about your coin unless an Admin ask you too and the same for sending emails through the board.
6. No spam. Do not post any links to your coin or other non-coin websites.
7. Always be respectful even if something makes you upset or you don’t agree with a member. You can always get a second opinion elsewhere. If you have an issue then politely ask an admin in an PM. PM’s are for issues, technical and personal, but not for coin questions (refer to number 5 on this list). Re: Coin Week Contest #135
Pretty coin. I bet it got banged around as a bulk submission. I sent NGC some 1959 pennies, looking for 65 or betters. Got them back, but several were scratched.( 400 coins 10 65s and one 66!) 1959 pennies are horrible.

Congratulations on winning "on the spur of the moment" Mark. About time you got "what's coming to you" for all the contest you have sponsored. lol:
Dipper, Just curious about their fees for large quantity submissions. Did they charge you only for the ones they slabbed? And if you don't mind my asking, what were the total fees for the 11 slabs? Thanks.dipper13 wrote:Pretty coin. I bet it got banged around as a bulk submission. I sent NGC some 1959 pennies, looking for 65 or betters. Re: Coin Week Contest #135
They charged $8 per coin, but they expected a lot more, at least a hundred. They only charged for slabbed. The bulk submissions guy told me not to send any more 1959 rolls.! Those deals were in the mid 2000 decade. They have since become more cut throat. If you have a lot of coins that may grade and make $ they will still make deals. This would be ideal for a roll that are valuable no matter the grade. Hope that helps you? Sold half of 59s kept some to speculate.
