I don't have a clue but from your images it seems like it. Even the base at the foot of the MM looks different. Is your "micro" a different font? Really good eye there. Might be a :greatfind: !

....it was the "size" of the mm that 'caught my eye'.....

yea d, i'm not a WQ VAR "all-around expert" (= mm vars), but i kinda-sorta fished around, & ......
did not find anything on "smaller" mm's in '83, the best pics i could see online, look like maybe the 83's had a 'smaller' mm, but i can't say for sure. :dunno
i need a good hugeeyes-see at the mm's of some others to 'rule-out' any difference here..... :dunno :confused: :dunno
