Here is something a little different but related to collecting. Has anyone been to the St. Gaudens Historic site in Cornish, New Hampshire. Even though I am not a ham radio operator or hobbyist I visit a site for remodeling and the person (Tim Carter) that owns that site is a volunteer ham operator. He got my interest with an article in his weekly newsletter when he talked about transmitting from St. Gaudens historic site. THAT got my attention. From what little I have gathered about ham operators, they like to have entry's (for radio contacts) in their log books from lots of wild and exotic places (Yes, even New Hampshire) from all over the world.
Check out this link "Ham shack activity" if you are interested in learning about another hobby.
