Hi - I am new member. I tried to post this question once already but I can't find the new post anywhere. I'm hoping this isn't a duplicate post, I am sorry if it is.
I was going through my coin books today trying to get organized and I came across this penny in my Odd Coins peanut butter jar. (lol)
Was hoping someone might be able to tell me something about it.
Thanks in Advance!
1972 D Penny - What is this imprint?

Re: 1972 D Penny - What is this imprint?
It's a novelty coin that came with a card explaining the eerie and similar occurrences of the lives of Lincoln and Kennedy. It was not counterstamped at the mint, but the cent is real.

Re: 1972 D Penny - What is this imprint?
The rage about Lincoln and Kennedy stemmed from many odd coincidences, mostly name flip flopping and such. Both were assassinated, beloved by the citizens and were killed by bullets. If you go online, and inquire about the similarities you will be surprised. Fast buck artists after the Kennedy death dreamed the coins up as a way to make $. The mint never imprinted a Lincoln memorial cent with anything extra.
