1. Post a front and back image of your coin with a specific question about what you’re seeing or asking about and one coin per topic.
2. Please remove coin from the holder unless it’s US or an official mint case or unless it is graded by a grading service.
3. Images should be taken by a camera or cell phone camera, we ask that members don’t use images through a microscope screen.
4. Always start your own topic, please don’t ask about your coin or post your coin in someone else’s coin topic.
5. Do not send private messages about your coin unless an Admin ask you too and the same for sending emails through the board.
6. No spam. Do not post any links to your coin or other non-coin websites.
7. Always be respectful even if something makes you upset or you don’t agree with a member. You can always get a second opinion elsewhere. If you have an issue then politely ask an admin in an PM. PM’s are for issues, technical and personal, but not for coin questions (refer to number 5 on this list). Re: 1857 PHILLY MINT OF FOREIGN COINS?
So you are still working on the1857 Seated Liberty Quarter multi denomination Puzzler? Sounds intriguing.
So if you are still working on it, can we assume you have made some forward progress.

Did you recently update your PC? That is when my scoping abilities bit the dust. Old scope wasn't compatible with Windows10.

WTG Paul.
It will be real interesting to find out what you have in hand!!!
Sounds like it should grab the attention of some folks that really like wrestling with numismatic puzzlers.

Re: 1857 PHILLY MINT OF FOREIGN COINS?
Exactly.
Waiting for your slab it is then. whistling2:
"Pre-congratulations" Paul on the new slabbed major error discovery.
How much of this discovery was possible because of your penchant for early die state coins? You know, before some of the finer details are obliterated by die wear

OK there mr. antzy-pants, i would really want to hugeeyes it also if i were you,....
but the "pup" is so 'defined', it's really the whole thing here.
PS. i do have a 'graded AU58' in addition to the "discovery coin" .....
i wanted to have a 'graded' one as 'proof' the coin was not altered .....
......& i have not found, after looking at 1000's of, ms graded coins of this var !

Re: 1857 PHILLY MINT OF FOREIGN COINS?
I didn't know making foreign coins was such a wide practice. Why do you think that was Mhonzell? Purely economic or was there more behind that?
I definitely prefer Performer 8 over anything else.

Re: 1857 PHILLY MINT OF FOREIGN COINS?
It has an economic basis for the requesting country in that they get high quality coinage or bills without the cost of infrastructure. Many countries do this.
For instance, I routinely purchase coinage from Belarus, but their coinage is produced in either Poland or Kazakhstan.
