selling graded coins
I wondering if anyone has figured out the art of selling graded coins. A deal is presently offering more than ten 1980-P Anthony dollars that have a NCS grade of MS65 for $12 dollars, plus shipping. To cover the expense of getting the coins graded, it appears to me that he would have to be hoping th...

Re: Direct from the United States Mint
I got this roll for the bargain price of only $25, but what I'm trying to get knowledge of (from the experiences of others) is the meaning and value of the type of raper. Does this type of raper increase the chances of finding coins in a condition that they don't look like they been put in a lottery...

I found a 1980 the other day that looked like it was shedding it's skin.CopperFinger wrote:Nice lamination on rev, working on photos.
I didn't know what would be causing this, since cents were not made with copper plated zinc in 1980.
Does anybody know what this is about?

Re: 1947 Canadian cent variety
It looks like the tip has a die chip and I doubt you can identify either way. This is an interesting coin, in that it is listed on "coinsandcanada.com" as having 33 varieties/errors. It was brought to my attention by numistisist "kbbpll", who does not collect Canadian coins, and...

OK Thanks I'll attempt to create an account on YouTube and post the "wmv" file there. Then I'll either put a link on this web site to my YouTube page, or try to upload it here using the "edit" option on this website. This project is probably going to take some work/time (since my...

I found this comment online, so it looks like this venture is a "No Go!" correct?
I know a lot of forums will only let you upload pictures (gif, jpg, png) and not videos because they don't want to host the file. Hosting a video on a public forum uses a lot of bandwidth.

OK
Thanks!
I have to use 400 ASA color film to get my best pics, and the film has to be developed and put on CD in bmp format. I don't have a good digital camera (yet!).
Hope to post some MS+ pics, if they turn out good.

Can the coin in the attached photo be accurately graded using this photo? If so,:
The coin in the attachment has a PCGS grading.
What would be your best evaluation of the grade that it has been given by PCGS?

1971-D MM population of locations
here is a random population of 1971-D Lincoln Cents from a 45 year old piggy bank.
This may help you determine if your 1971-D Lincoln Cent would be considered a "variety", if it is less that 1% of a normal population of 1971-D Lincoln Cents.
