From what I can see in the photo it looks like it may have been ground off??? You may want to check the weight specs.

The minimal amount that it is rotated would add no significance to the coins value. This is a date/mint that I have not found to add to my collection yet. However I do not actively collect mercury dimes. Nice one.

Yes this is mine. I took this photo today. I do not grade well but I believe this is an MS-64.

This is kind of getting away from the origional intent of this thread and I am still looking for my copy of a 1946S inverted MM. When/if I find it I will post a photo of it as well.

This is a 1946 S/S/D...The photo was taken while the coin was in a 2X2 thus a bit milky looking.

Wrong mint mark style for the known inverted mint mark. The position of the mm does not look the same as the OMM S/S/D. In my opinion.

I don't need to see more of your photos. If you feel so strongly about it send it in for attribution. I did that with mine and it was attributed.

I have seen coop's photos and they are very clear and I concur with them being what he says his coins are however what is indicated on your coin is indecisive due to the unclear photos and the die deterioration. I still believe an in hand check of this coin by an attributor is needed to confirm that...

Just my opinion Daniel but I don't think it is an RDV-006. I would encourage sending it to an attibutor for an in hand look. Scans and photos can be difficult to attribute by at times.

I think you are going to find that this is an RDV-005 but I would not discourage sending it to an attributor of these.

I think you may have something here. There does appear to be separation lines and some extra thickness on the IGWT. Check the area of the vest and see if there is doubling there as well. I have to lean on the side of PMD myself.....I can't see anything that would convince me that it was caused in the striking process. Just took a hit in my opinion.

I have seen a couple that look similar to this that have been dipped in acid and it eats away at the copper core. Not to say that this is one like that but it may be?????
