I would send a coin off to ANACS, it's the best thing to do, too many people are passing off coins like this and they need to be authenticated.

It's plated and that can cause magnetism an actual steel cent is difficult to pry off a magnet.

Use a price guide to see if a coin is worth grading. Also you should know what the difference is in a proof set and a mint set. A 1964 nickel is common and don't get mixed up into thinking it's an SMS either.

There's a reason why the grading companies have you send coins to them, it's not fair to expect people to authenticate your coin, non professionally and in a coin forum. Just based on images alone.
