Pretty coin. I bet it got banged around as a bulk submission. I sent NGC some 1959 pennies, looking for 65 or betters. Got them back, but several were scratched.( 400 coins 10 65s and one 66!) 1959 pennies are horrible.

Many of these have been known for decades. There should be a time limit, a statute of limitations, if you will. As time goes on facts become cloudy or even change , next they will confiscate coins from the 1800s. Boo

They were put out of business by the other TPG companies. Who wants it authenticated when you can get that and a grade from NGC, PCGS,or ANACS.

I found that many coins were used as necklaces or bracelets. Some times the date of the coin is the birth year of the wearer. The mint cannot hole a coin by mistake, it is not possible in the process. The hole at the top means some one wanted to wear it obverse side out.

This quarter is worth $.25. There are silver bicentennial quarters and they are worth silver melt. They are common and plentiful. This is a scam!!

They made shell case brass pennies from 1944-46. I have many, none look gold like yours. Most not still red have a medium brown color.

No offense but a silver round is a silver round. There are no more $ for style points. They are barter pieces tied to the current price of the precious metal they are made of. Coins of a country can have intrinsic numismatic added value.

This coin might not grade. It is a good strike,but there is a blackish color on the back of his head and coat. It does not look like the classic Browning of a cent. A lot of times a dealer will send bulk coins to NGC and specify a minimum grade, All gem or better in a holder, below gem return. If there are enough coins, NGC will not charge for the ungraded coins.. I did this with 1959 pennies, gem or better. Well, 1959 P pennies are low quality. Out of 200 coin...

That roll was wrapped by or for the mint. There is no extra significance that I know of. They did not advertise them to be handled with gloves, so they may or may not be worth more in the wrapper. I hesitate to open bank wrapped coins, so I would not open them.

Spike, as long as it is as advertised, you are fine. I bought some troy ounces that were a Chrysler corp. incentive from the 1980s. It said one troy ounce and they were. They are what they are, not coins but silver. Apmex is a very straightforward company. I trust them.

The obverse is more worn than the reverse. Lots of detail left on eagle. Beautiful old coin.

Die crack is my opinion. Saw many later Indians with cracks, kind of rare for so early a coin.

The quarter and dime may have been hammered or placed in a powerful vise. They were not damaged at the mint. They show circulation. The nickel shows exposure to water or liquid. Also has circ. wear. Sorry
