Thanks Mark, I took your advice and looked at one at Heritage Auctions . They were made just like ours, so it's a complete Rotation. I did clean it up some and added a special Wax/polish that they use in museums to protect copper coins and artifacts . It looks much better now . It figures, the first...

1928 One Cent Error ??

Hey everyone ! I found a 1928 Canadian Penny several years ago while Metal Detecting and misplaced until it recently was found. . It's only in AG-3 condition, so a Pic would be too difficult to take . My question is that after finding it, I realized that when I turned it over the reverse was complet...

Re: 1971 d half dollar Kennedy double, maybe triple strike?

Yea, now you can see the difference . The letters are the same height and I think that's one of the key things to look for . How do doubled die errors occur that have a wide separation like you see with the infamous Lincoln 1955 doubled die error ? A lot of the one's I see usually are like Daniel's ...

:greatfind: It looks doubled but the outer one looks like it's not raised evidence of " Mechanical Doubling ". To be real, the second strike has to be the same height as the 1st . Here's a good link : http://www.doubleddie.com . Look at the real one's and the category on the left that say'...

No Daniel, I actually used Vinegar to clean it to remove the Oxidation and I think that's just some of the leftover rust . I know, I know . Never clean Coins . That was done when I was less experienced and didn't know better . What about the " S " ? Does it look like a RPM ?
