Re: 1839O HALF

It looks well struck and is centered nicely.
I can't really tell if it is an Early Die State or Mid Die State.
Sounds like you have your eyes set on collecting a decent set?

Re: 1941. Lincoln cent DUBBLE DYE DUBBLE EYE !!!

The dime is post strike damage. Maybe vise grip locking pliers, a jackhammer and a ball peen hammer. :dunno
Can you weigh the Lincoln cent (in Grams)?
Also it is best to start a new thread for each coin (since they don't relate to the 1941 in the original post.)

Re: Mistruck Sacagawea Dollar

Welcome. I agree with Daniel. Notice how the letters of the secondary impression are reversed or backwards? This is what happens when a second coin is placed against this one. The pressure from the vise forces the design into your coin. There is another coin out there with an impression on it of yo...

Re: 1941. Lincoln cent DUBBLE DYE DUBBLE EYE !!!

Nothing new to add except the mint had quite a few years where parts or all of Lincolns profile was doubled. I think it was engraving issues or master die doubling.
Check out this link . and scroll down to ODV-015. This probably describes what you have.

Re: 1941. Lincoln cent DUBBLE DYE DUBBLE EYE !!!

Thanks for the images. Can you add a clear image of the reverse? The first one is a little clearer when it is enlarged. Look at this LINK to Variety Vista and compare yours to images of DDO-024. You can also try this LINK to Coppercoins 1DO-005 (which is the same variety as the Variety Vista DDO-02...

Re: What About The CONFEDERATE COINAGE ??

When I worked in Ga. during the recession in '09 for three months I drove past the area about three times and should have taken the time to stop, because it really is amazing how the stone can be transformed into that work of art.

Re: What About The CONFEDERATE COINAGE ??

That's a tough call because it is a beautiful piece of art but also was created for a certain purpose in 1915 that was anything but artistic. Would an artistic statue of Pontius Pilot be controversial/acceptable in the Vatican or Jerusalem? Hopefully there is a way to move past the negative connota...

Re: Die Adjustment Strike?

Welcome Eric.
Thanks for the images but they need to be clear so we can see them.
All we can see is verdis gris on the coin (the green oxidizing copper).
What makes you believe they are a die adjustment strike?
