Re: Finning Error?

I agree this is a slight obverse die alignment but within mint tolerances. However, MS grades are first and foremost based on the amount of contact marks and not if the coin is an error, toned or looks nice. I say that just to save on confusion about grading.

Also this doesn't add any extra value.

It has to weigh 3.11g or it's worth face value

Re: COMPUGRADE Sample and Production Slabs

It cost too much money to do. It would be worth it in the long run but the up front money is pricey. I have talked to several companies on this matter.

I thought Condor101 passed away?

I just wish more here would get involved in commenting on all of these. These are interesting enough and I am sure others have something to share.

Re: 1999 Penny-Wood Grain look???

Raised lines on a coin indicate that it could be die file lines to eliminate clash marks or burs, but there's also plating issues. So we need better images and at different angles. I don't know of any other way of helping.

Re: U.S. or CANADA? Blank or worn planchet?

Weight is going to go a long way in determining what coin this was supposed to be.

Re: Better pics(I hope)2014-P Roosevelt Dime error

Could be a die break. You can use some books, lay your phone on them, leaving just enough room so the lens can focus on the camera, then take images.
