Re: Coin Shop Shoutout

I have a good friend that just moved back to my town after being in AZ for several years. He opened his coin shop back up so it's nice to go and use his Sig machine; he likes to shoot so I take him to the range and it's a wash.

Re: Is this a 1960 Proof Dime FS-103

Thanks Daniel, DSCoins, and Clint W. I purchased this coin and a local coin show for $5 dollars just cause I liked the cameo effect. Got it home and looked at it closer and noticed the irregularities. Thanks for the confirmation.

Re: Copper stacking

These questions are really too in depth for a forum like this, so many of the answers are personal preferences and collectors should do what they feel most comfortable with. Just keep them away from moisture like humidity. I recommend joining a coin club or contacting a copper specialist at CONECA a...

Re: New to forum

Thank you all for your replies. I never read replies in a rude manner. Just like text message can be read wrong. I do understand the minting process and I do understand Machine Doubling, Die Deterioration Doubling, and Die Doubling. I wanted to research on counter clash for the 1983 LMC and my 1909 ...

Re: Going blind looking for DDR & DDO on PCGS site

I have been looking at Wexler's site mostly. And Coppercoins for my cents. I find plenty of close-up examples on there. Thanks Clint - I am also retired USAF (1967-88) Went to Wexler's and now I know why I couldn't see the doubling on the PCGS site. Will need to get an electron microscope - har!

Re: 1964 D WDDO-001. Finally found one

I found two more today! I have over 50 more tubes to go thru. Great! I don't doubt you will find more (and likely different ones too). I have an opinion the volume of 64's made meant the DDOs are not too difficult to find when you have a good volume of them to go through. Don't forget there are tri...

If you PM me your email, I have a condensed list from many online sources and books to look for with Walkers. Also posted a paper on Franklin halves here for Type I and Type II eagles:

Re: 1959 D Lincoln Penny

I agree with Sal. I'm still relatively new to this due to an inherited collection from my Dad, and I've come across beautiful coins that seemed worthy of grading. However, after some very sound advice from this forum and its members, I've overcome this temptation and review each one more objectively...

Re: IMMEDIATE ASNWERS: Step by step find your Doubled Die or RPM online!

Thanks - I made it a sticky hoping anyone going to that forum to post an error coin will note this at the top of the list there.

Maybe some flashing arrows added to the post and a mandatory "READ ME FIRST pop up up could help! ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚

Re: Lincoln cent 1982 and 1983

Please only post one coin at a time! Start a new topic for each coin! It helps with the confusion! Based off what I can see in the images listed the 1982 small date appears to be a circulated 1982 Lincoln Penny and without the weight to prove otherwise made of zinc which is worth about a penny! That...

supposed to be a wide AM on the 91-Ds. The mint mark area has some plating issues, and the reverse had some die deteration doubling, which is not a doubled die. valued at 1 cent.
