It Important To Know About TPGS Before Buying Graded Coins
It's important for novice and experienced collectors to learn all they can about grading services and coin grading in general. I have put together several guides and a webpage to help Numismatist safely buy graded or holdered coins. Here is a link to get you started TPGS Pictures & Info

Re: It Important To Know About TPGS Before Buying Graded Coins
Just joined, and was amazed to learn about ANGS. I recently started collecting Morgans, and was reading about their shady practices of grading. Wish I had seen this earlier. Have bought 18 coins graded by them. Should I send these coins to a reputable grader?? I now realized that they will be well below what they are graded now, but feel I should know their true value. Any suggestions??

WELCOME TO THE FORUM! Also, please post pictures, so we can determine if it would be worth having them graded. After we see them all, we'd be happy to tell you!!

Re: It Important To Know About TPGS Before Buying Graded Coins
Welcome to the forum and thanks for posting this information. I suggest listing each coin by date and compare their grade as best you can with the examples I have here http://coinauctionshelp.com/How_To_Grade_Morgan_Dollars.html Using closer to actual grade values we can see just how much the 18 coins are worth. I can say that low grade Morgan Dollars by the roll (20) sell for over $300. If these coin grade AU58 and higher, are not cleaned or whizzed, and are common dates, they should sell for around $400-$500.

Re: It Important To Know About TPGS Before Buying Graded Coins
But you know it is not a one way streak. An experienced collector can learn from a novice collector. I have learned much from the experience of this forum greatly. I have posted what I have tried to learn through experientation and research through out the web. I am not trying to upstage anyone. But the knowledge I learn and gather on my experiments and searches help others hopefully. That is why I post what I do. If I learn something new I want to share it, not keep to myslef. Maybe everyone knows the information I have recently gathered. but if it will help one person than that is what this forum is about. That is what I think.
