NTC-NUMISTRUST CORPORATION
I recently recieved this email from the current owners/operators of NTC.
"To Whom It May Concern,
I recently viewed your website and was very impressed with it. We seem to share the same passion of helping collectors to be well informed about Numismatics.
Please allow me to introduce myself. I am one of the owners of the New NTC Coin Grading Service. The original NTC essentially stopped accepting submissions in 2010, when the owner became terminally ill. I was a consultant grader for the original company from 2003-2007 afterward which I had relocated to New York. I had maintained a friendship with the owner until his passing in 2012. We purchased the rights to use the name "NTC" along with all remaining equipment from his family.
We formed a new corporation and revamped the entire operation (NTC II, INC) in order to provide consistent, conservative accurate grading, according to the current grading standards. I always liked the fact that NTC had been collector as well as dealer friendly. Their slab was very attractive and as durable if not more durable than the other major grading services. I always felt NTC had the potential to be one of the top grading services. There just seemed to be some complains of inconsistent grading in the past. Well, we have certainly addressed this issue with the new company.
Our graders have on average 30 years experience, with our senior grader having over 50 years experience in the coin industry. We have made some changes to our slab to differentiate the old NTC from the new. We now have a hologram on the back of the slab. Our website also has a searchable database for all coins certified by the New NTC. You can go to the website, enter the serial # of the coin and verify that it is the coin, just as the other major services have. We have been advertising in several of the industry trade publications and have had very positive feedback thus far from collectors and dealers alike.
The website for the New NTC has remained that same as you have listed on your website www.ntccoin.com, however our address has changed to 160 1st Street #29 Mineola NY 11501. Our new phones #'s are 516 746-1826 or toll free 1-855-NTC COIN. We would sincerely appreciate if you would update the information on the link for NTC that is listed on your website with the new information. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact us."
