I receive a lot of inquiries about certain encapsulated coins, with an alphabet name on the label, but none is more inquired about than INB. INB or International Numismatic Bureau is a self grading party that buys rolls of coins, coin collections, etc, and hustles them at ebay. I say hustle because they use a sub-par grading standard to grade their coins and then place them in a professional-like holder.
I won’t bother getting detailed on what’s wrong with their grading standards or their whole business model. However, I will say that the coins pictured below were graded a perfect MS70 by none other than INB. A coin that is MS70 has to be flawless according to all top grading services, dealers, coin experts and numismatists. I pointed out a few contact marks on these coins and will let collectors decide on what they think of INB and their grading standard.
