The mintage of the 1895 business strikes is in question, it's recorded that 12,000 where ordered to be minting, but some experts think it was for another date and mint, while others feel they where struck, but all 12,000 where melted down. We might never know, but if you see an 1895 for purchase and the price tag is less than $40,000+, beware!
